Many may not know about this very Indian hound. Canis lupus familiarises, the Mudhol Hound, also known variously as the Maratha Hound, the Pashmi Hound and the Kathewar Dog, which is a breed of sighthound from India. It also has a striking resemblance to the Greyhound. This breed thrives on human companionship and is tolerant of other dogs. Mudhols are fiercely loyal to their owners and can even attack strangers if they feel that the owner is in danger.
