This painting was inspired by "Gopi Geeth" from "Bhagavatam" a devotional book of the Hindus in India. Gopi Geeth is about the love the Gopis and Radha feel for Krishna the Godhead, their eternal Lover. Their love is not the physical one but of the eternal kind representing the human soul seeking the Supreme with whom it wants to unite to feel the ecstasy of oneness with God, to be liberated from earthly desires and miseries. Radha, also a Gopi, is Krishna's lover and she dances as if delirious in the all-consuming love for Krishna!
